Tribute Celebration is an annual gala in support of education, advocacy, and direct services in communities most vulnerable to HIV. This was an inspiring evening at San Francisco City Hall, marking 35 years of San Francisco AIDS Foundation as we honored leaders in the response to HIV and unite to face the challenges ahead.

During the discovery phase, I learned that the 35th anniversary stone is emerald, which inspired my design concept. I aimed to reflect the event’s grandeur, incorporating elements from San Francisco City Hall, our venue, such as marble accents and copper filigrees.

A central aspect of my role was developing the event logo, which required multiple rounds of revisions and close collaboration with stakeholders. This project was particularly challenging because I was asked to redesign the logo over the weekend after pushback from a board member.

Beyond the logo, I designed a comprehensive suite of event collateral, including banners, directional signage, menu and bar displays, name tags, table numbers, and auction materials, maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout. I also managed the coordination with third-party vendors to produce custom crystal awards, overseeing every detail to ensure they met our high standards and aligned with the event’s overall aesthetic.

My branding efforts were instrumental in the event's success, directly contributing to a record-breaking $500,000+ in donations— setting a new benchmark for future events.
