Client: Creative Soul Therapy
Creative Soul Therapy offers trauma-informed, creative therapies tailored to individual needs, providing mental health therapy for teens and adults in Oregon. They also offer nationwide mental health theatre consultation.
When Creative Soul Therapy first approached me, they were just beginning to establish their practice. While they had a name, they needed help translating their vision into a visual identity—a logo, color palette, and website that truly captured their essence.
The concept began with a poppy, symbolizing growth, healing, and a strong connection to the LGBT community through its link to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. This choice was particularly meaningful to the owner, who sought to create a welcoming, inclusive space without relying on an overt rainbow motif. The goal was to offer something subtler and more inviting, allowing people to feel both safe and understood in a nurturing environment.
The color palette, inspired by the poppy, featured calming earth tones and soft golds, reflecting both the therapy’s nurturing nature and the owner’s focus on creativity. These tones, paired with the poppy’s natural elegance, felt grounded yet expansive, with the gold adding an element of creativity, warmth, and sophistication—perfectly aligning with the practice’s work with artists and mental health theatre consulting.
To highlight the innovative aspect of the practice, AI-generated art was incorporated, providing a modern, dynamic touch that tied all the elements together. The final result was a logo that felt deeply personal and unique, leading to the creation of a website that fully embodied Creative Soul Therapy’s mission—support, creativity, and inclusivity—through a cohesive and thoughtfully crafted visual identity.
